Job Description: BIO-WEST seeks permanent, full-time fishery biologist to join Logan, Utah, staff. Job involves performing a variety of fishery duties for ongoing research and monitoring projects in the southwestern and western United States. Duties include working with native and endangered aquatic species in various rivers, lakes, springs, and streams, and analyzing and reporting data. Qualifications: Minimum requirements include MS in fisheries or related field and aquatic experience in the western United States. Experience with southwestern native fish, stream ecology, and GIS preferred. Candidate should be in excellent physical condition and able to conduct field work at least 50 percent of the time. Familiarity with boats and motors, telemetry, trammel netting, seining, macroinvertebrate sampling and other techniques, as well as excellent data analysis, NEPA familiarity, and technical writing skills will be important in the selection.
