Wildlife Biologist

Mr. Fosdick has worked as a wildlife biologist for BIO-WEST for one year, and he has thirteen years of experience in wildlife biology. He contributes to avian research and monitoring programs at many government agencies including the USFWS, USGS, USFS, BLM, and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, as well as non-profit research organizations. He has an M.S. in Biology from Boise State University and a B.S. in Biology from State University of New York-College at Oswego.

  • Expert in avian identification (sight and sound), avian census techniques, and avian productivity studies

  • Extensive experience mist-netting and banding songbirds

  • Proficient in navigation using GPS/GIS technology, topographic maps, and a compass
