Botanist, Wetland Specialist
Ms. Ballard has worked at BIO-WEST as a botanist and wetland specialist for one year. She has fourteen years of experience and is skilled in research, design, and implementation of vegetative mapping strategies to study ecological succession, including use of GPS and GIS technologies. Her knowledge of sampling methodologies for vegetative studies covers a wide range. She conducts baseline vegetation, wetland delineation, riparian and stream inventories, monitoring studies and designs. She identifies, documents, and curates floral species and plant communities. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Forest Ecology at Utah State University, and she holds an M.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science and a B.S. in Biology, both from Utah State University. | Skills & Qualifications
