Senior Ecologist/Houston Office Manager/Coastal Division Manager

Mr.Heaney has more than 12 years of professional experience managing environmental projects throughout the United States. His project experience includes overseeing environmental compliance with state and Federal regulatory agencies, and conducting scientific studies to provide better understanding of biological interactions and functions. He has a broad array of environmental experience in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. The terrestrial component of his experience includes conducting habitat, vegetation, wildlife, and threatened and endangered species surveys; monitoring species; and completing biological baseline studies. Mr. Heaney has also participated in wetland delineations and the characterization of vegetation for mapping throughout all ecological regions of Texas and many parts of the United States using numerous vegetation census techniques. In addition, he has participated in numerous mitigation efforts. Mr. Heaney holds a B.A. in wildlife biology from Southwest Texas State University.
