Provo Westside Connector Environmental Impact Statement

The Federal Highway Administration, Utah Department of Transportation, and Provo City have contracted BIO-WEST to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) for a proposed new road between the Provo Airport and the University Avenue interchange on Interstate 15. The EIS process includes comprehensive public participation, stakeholder collaboration, agency coordination, transportation analysis, a participatory alternatives-generation process, impact analysis, mitigation design, Section (4)f evaluation for potential historic properties, document preparation, and a record of decision.  Primary issues include wetlands, threatened and endangered species, wildlife and vegetation habitats, land use changes, traditional agricultural operations, public interest, and historic properties. We are the prime consultant leading a team comprised of civil engineers, transportation planners, aerial surveyors, and cultural resource specialists. 2006-present.
