San Antonio Instream Flow Study
BIO-WEST is currently conducting a preliminary evaluation of instream flows in the lower San Antonio River in Texas, home to at least 73 fish species.
During this study, fish-community dynamics and fish-habitat relationships are identified using a variety of sampling techniques. Additionally, the associated hydrology and geomorphology of study reaches are being evaluated.
Data collected from this effort will help characterize current instream flow conditions within the lower San Antonio River watershed and make the future flow-management recommendations needed to sustain resident biological communities and ensure an adequate water supply for the future needs of all communities within the watershed.
