WILDLIFE AND VEGETATION RESOURCES

Since 1976 we have also conducted projects for which threatened, endangered, or sensitive plants were a major concern. These projects ranged in scope from small clearance surveys for a single species to large-scale, multiple-species surveys across several states, to detailed long-term ecological studies of individual species.

Furthermore, as required under the National Environmental Policy Act, most of our EIS/EA projects have included a threatened, endangered, and sensitive plant component. For many projects vegetative habitats have also been assessed for their value to wildlife. Wildlife- and vegetation-related services are listed below.

  • baseline inventories
  • biological assessments
  • ecosystem analyses
  • habitat assessments
  • habitat evaluation procedures
  • habitat mapping
  • impact assessments
  • mitigation planning
  • planning (restoration, enhancement, and protection of resources)
  • vegetation threatened and endangered species surveys
  • wildlife threatened and endangered species surveys
